But inevitably they ...Sometimes I do let them pick. But inevitably they will choose waffles or crepes or something that I have to do. If there's something I'm trying to use up(like the fresh fruit) then I will make the choice for them. Today, for example, I would have been willing to make pancakes but they chose to have cereal. Fair enough. Lunch is the same way. If we need to use something up, like dinner leftovers, then they don't get a vote. But if we have options and no particular time constraints, I'm fine with them getting to choose. They loved the freedom that pick and eat and learn what to eat and not to eat. At one time I made a list, with them, of things that are acceptable and why for breakfast, snack times and lunch. So they would look at it and pick from it. Of course that meant having stuff on hand but it made life easier and gave them a lot of learning and independence!

Thanks for stopping in and entering my 101 Farmhouse Favorites Giveaway from Gooseberry Patch. I haven't checked the entries, yet, but do please make sure you did #1 the mandatory entry. The email newsletter is here: http://blogspot.us6.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=ddb5766ea9490bb735cb76d87&id=bc7062a135 (hopefully that link will show up here) if not just make sure you clicked it from the post. You will need to confirm that subscription in your email to make it official.

WHy and I telling you this?
